Hi Everyone,
As most of you know, the kids and I drove across the country this past week, to see my husband graduate from a military school in South Carolina. I've been a little behind on posting and projects due to lack of time/internet! So when Jessica from Arcadian Lighting offered to write a post, I happily said YES! I've seen Jessica's posts before and knew that she always had wonderful things to share and fabulous pictures! So here she is, sharing about French Decor.
Hello! I’m Jessica, a writer for Arcadian Lighting, a website and blog with a wonderful selection of affordable lighting fixtures and interior design inspirations! I’m delighted to be guest posting for Katie today because I'm going to be sharing a beautiful collection of interiors that feature stunning French decor. There's something about classic French decor that is always timeless and chic. I hope you enjoy! Amusez-vous bien!
Everything about this lovely kitchen is chic and fresh. The French bistro chairs are especially beautiful with a mint green paint color that picks up on the greenery throughout the room. Trop belle!
This grand dining room is elegant and rustic with its neutral color palette and the nailhead trim chairs. A sparkling chandelier and wonderful French doors add a romantic, classic atmosphere.
A gorgeous vintage golden mirror frame is a brilliant idea for a headboard. The intricate gilding, also on the picture frames, is classic French, as is these types of sparkling chandeliers.
This luxurious double-ended chaise lounge in a bright salmon color is so charming and glamorous. It definitely makes a wonderful focal point in any room.
The French doors in this lovely bedroom open up to a spacious balcony for a particularly airy, casual atmosphere. The velvet tufted furniture are such beautiful accents in this very modern room.
The classic black and white color palette of this kitchen is particularly elegant. The black French doors and sophisticated lantern pendant light are perfectly French details.
The dark teal wall color and rustic exposed wood make this kitchen chic and modern. I love the black china cabinet and floor to ceiling windows.
There's nothing more French than stripes. This lovely gray and white striped wallpaper helps make this small room feel even more spacious. Images 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8

Love the bedroom with the gilded mirror. I'm currently working on redecorating my bedroom and just might have to work that in somehow.
