My original post was title, "The Window Wall if Finished! Do you see what happens in the wee hours of the morning! haha. Well it actually is finished, and I'm happily moving on to the next projects!
You've probably noticed that I decorate a "space or wall" at a time. So we'll call this wall, The Window Wall.
Once, again, this is the only picture I have of the space before me moved in. Can you see that little window to the far left of the picture? That's the wall!
If you've been following Creatively Living for the past couple weeks, you've seen me makeover these old cheap-o book shelves and use them as pretty display shelves. You can see the Bookcase Beautification process HERE.
Here is the first of my Spring Pillows. I actually need to go on a huge pillow making surge, since I need quite a few for the downstairs. Are you ready for some pillow posts next??
I gave two "tips and tricks" posts on shelf decorating. You can see them HERE .....
and HERE .
They include ideas on how to make things around your house work on your shelves.
There will be a post on how I dressed up these windows. But, I'm getting tired of this wall (and maybe you are too), so for now, just know I did all of it really inexpensively and with glue!
As you can see, this wall is next to my Gallery Wall.
I love how rooms "evolve" around my place. My original idea was to use red as my accent, but I ended up using yellow. Maybe I felt I needed to because of spring? Who knows, but I'm liking how fun yellow is!
My fabric flower and kid's blocks in a jar.
Yes, I do have a small pillow addiction.
I'm happy to be done with this wall. I really like how fun it turned out. Honestly though, I feel it's slightly cramped, but I'm all about working with what you have! It doesn't have to be perfect, but just something you enjoy! The bookshelves were free, and that cute bench was $1 at a yardsale, same material and everything! So I'm stickin' with it!

ReplyDeleteLooks great, and I'm seriously interested in the window treatment. Please share that tutorial or some close-ups! Unique what you did on the window itself that I can't quite visually grasp. Phenomenal job, girl!
ReplyDeleteEverything is lovely as usual! Did you get the bird fabric at Hancock's? I almost bought some the other day to make a pillow!
ReplyDeleteYup! Good eye! It was my splurge fabric. I bought as little as I possibly could to get a pillow out of it. lol

ReplyDeleteJessica @ Mom 4 Real
love the whole room, especially what you did around that smaller window. wish i could do this in our basement that has similar windows, but with it being next to the fire place...i don't think long curtains is the way to go. oh well!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! Those colors together are GREAT! I especially like the 'hand' print on the left wall, I am guessing each memeber of your family? That is precious!
ReplyDeleteYes! I have a tutorial for it. I posted it in February.
