Cutting Edge Stencils Giveaway! (and a picture of my product review!)

Does anyone remember about two months ago, when I said Creatively Living was going to get to have a Cutting Edge Stencils Giveaway?

Are you wondering what happened?
Well, they asked me if I wanted to do a product review and I said HECK YES!  They only have the coolest stencils EVER!
Then I took that little road trip to the E. Coast, so the finished project was delayed a little. Now the project is complete and we're back to the giveaway!

When I started thinking about a project review, my head was buzzing over what project I should use the stencil on....would it be a tree in my daughter's room?

Would it be birds or butterflies in my reading nook?

Would it be an accent wall in my laundry room?

Or would I come up with another project based on one of my favorite stencils?

Well, I decided that I would be practical and salvage something that I was going to get rid of......
My older, stained 8X10 ft. basement rug.

I decided on the Shipibo Allover Stencil, since I'm liking the really graphic rugs that are all over right now

.... and that nasty rug turned into THIS!

I am lovin' it!!!
You can see my tutorial HERE.

If you're feeling intimidated, it's really pretty easy. Here's a how-to U-Tube video.

So....now it's your turn!

Cutting Edge Stencils is going to give a Creatively Living reader $50 towards a stencil of their choice!

Each one of the following will give you one entry in the giveaway!
So you could have up to 4 entries!

1.) Check out Cutting Edge Stencils (you'll be inspired) and leave me a comment telling me what your favorite stencil is.

2.) Follow me through GFC, or Linky (on the side bar).

3.) Pin one of Cutting Edge Stencils awesome pictures from their site and/or 'like" them on Facebook.

4.) "Like" Creatively Living on FB or on Twitter.

To keep up with other awesome stencil ideas, follow the Cutting Edge Stencils blog.

I will announce the winner on Thursday, May 24th 2012.
*This is for US residents only.

  10. I'm helping redo my dad's house. I'm going to venetian plaster part of the entry area. Anyways, there's an area right about the stairway that I would LOVE to do one of the Hermitage Coffer stencils over the venetian plaster. It would look so amazing there.

  14. Hi Katie

I'm already a follower on FB and Linky. Checked out the Cutting Edge website and I'm in love with most of their designs. But my favorite - in fact I may need to order it IF I don't win it- is the prehistoric fern leaf - I can just imagine it in a texturized effect in a bathroom!!! Or embellishing the outside of a flower pot.

    1. My 6 yr old drew that for me. I found a huge painting at the Goodwill for $4. It was painted on plywood that was framed. I painted white over it and had him draw a picture of our family with a permanent marker.
