Four for one :)

Well, truth be told, I have an obsession with large earings. I also love them cheap. I have a $3 limit. Let's face it though, these monstrosities that I found at Wallmart last night should only be worn if you're a belly dancer! I figured I could easily take off the bottom gold layer and they would be a nice size for a nice price. However, as I took them off, I realized I could add a hook and some beads to the discarded pieces and make another three pairs of earings out of them. I used some beads from a broken necklace and some hooks that I had purchased a bag of long ago and wa-la, another pair for free :) Then I ran out of the gold sticks that you bend and put through the beads, so when I purchase more of those (can get them at any craft store), I will make a black and red pair like the brown pair I made :) Four pairs for $3! woo-hoo.
