Today we found out we are having another girl! I couldn't be more estatic! My oldest (7) is a very girly girl, and then I had 3 boys, so I can't wait to be making dresses bloomers, and flower headbands!
Now to think nursery.....My sister may be getting married this summer, which would mean another room to use. In this case I would move my daughter's girly girl room downstairs and make the upstairs room a nursery for my 1 yr old boy and the new baby girl. I could not usually do this, but lack of space is causing me to think outside my normal tendencies :) So,...anyone out there have favorite color suggestions for boy and girl nurseries? I love this nursery done by Emily of Jones Design. http://jonesdesigncompany.blogspot.com/2010/03/nursery.html It's unexpected for girl colors, but seems timeless and beautiful. I'm wondering if I could somehow use these colors and incooperate one 1/2 boy and the other 1/2 girl. Any other suggestions?
Congrats first off! I have seen bedding that is the same, but one in boy colors & one in girl colors just a thought. Something else that could go with those stripes and be fun & gender neutral - sock monkeys. they'd pull in the tans & reds and give it a fun twist. Just a wild idea. I've also seen it where they have just plain split down the room & made one half a girl nursery & one half a boy nursery - sounds odd, but was actually really adorable!
