The Start of the Kitchen!

Really, we started on the kitchen long ago, but now that we're takin' the house room by room, we are ready for the BIG stuff in the kitchen...floor, countertops ect...
This weekend we began! Ceiling is now painted! Opps...I think I still have tape on that light.

As yucky as this looks, this is a "progress" picture. The door used to be white, and it will eventually be completely black. Usually a nasty garbage can, onions, potatoes and brooms/dustpans are dumped in this corner and I'm now getting it all out!

Needed to organize this cuboard to keep diapers and whipes in. I think I Goodwilled about 3/4 of this stuff. Gladwear is cheap and somtimes it's good to just start over.....for sanity purposes!

Needed to get all this into a drawer so that the grabage could go underneath the sink.

Tossed some, but most of it fit nicely.

Contact paper from Target :) Love contact paper!

Garbage cans here (still looking for decently priced garbage pull-outs. All cleaning products in the drawer above. Potatoes and onions in a drawer with the bags, and I need to find a super magnet to hang the boom and dustpans on the side of the fridge. Oh ya, paid my 7 yr old to clean the fridge too.

Now onto finishing the pullout drawers that we started for the other cuboards!

  1. oh this is very exciting. I am trying to think of a way to keep potatoes and onions easily accessible, and yet off of the floor! I don't have much drawer space and my kitchen is tiny. I was thinking of "hanging" them from some where, lol!

Can't wait to see more progress. And yes, it's better to just get new gladware cuz all the lids get lost eventually anyway!!
