Does anyone else have a problem buying too much cool stuff at the Goodwill?
I went there the other day to find a few pieces for my revamped kitchen cabinets.
You know, I went in there for a couple white dishes for the upper shelves and came out with WAY more than I planned on. Geesh....I need to get some self control! With the home decor stock room storage room in my basement, I'm starting to think....SPRING YARDSALE!
Anyways, here's where they all went.
Silver and red plate. This is an area in progress!
Here's a better picture of the red one.
Little blue bowl
White pitcher and white "thing' in the back. It looks like a bowl on the shleves, but really it's a light cover propped up on a bowl.
Sliver cutting board.
I really liked the details
I'm trying to incorporate some teal. There were two of these great bowls.
Another white little bowl holding the plant.
Well, at least these were all used, but really next time I think I need to make a list and stick to it! Maybe allow myself two of my favorite extra things.
Anyone out there have any other ideas for keeping to a minimum purchase level while thrifting?
I have the same problem and a lovely stash in my garage! haha! Your finds are great though!
ReplyDeleteI love Goodwill and I agree...control is necessary...but hard! :D
ReplyDeleteMy tips: first, thank god garage sale season is NEAR. second, i think- is it cool or do i just want it to be cool? Meaning - I snatch it up if I KNOW it's a great find.. and I can leave it if it's just iffy. Iffy isn't worth me storing it. Fab is.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog!! keep up the good work!
