The Entryway at Christmas

Welcome to our entryway at Christmas. This is probably my favorite spot to decorate. I love the festive, and homey feel of all the lights when I walk in.  Other rooms will follow, but due to a broken computer, we'll just stick with one for now. Luckily, I was able to swipe my mom's while she was in Hawaii!

I added lots of real greenery and pinecones to my fake garland this year. I'm LOVING the way it looks, and it was easy and free. See the post about it HERE.

I snagged this huge frame for $3 at a local thrift store. Don't even ask how old the picture is in the frame. . .if you count how many kids are in it, you'll know :(  (I now have 5.)   The verse above reads:  "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord". . .love that verse! (Joshua 24:15)

This is a small view of my metal Christmas tree. Another great thrift store find.

Metal deer standing by a WISH sign, eating sparkly snow, I guess.

The view as you're heading out. The UPTOWN sign is off a business at our local parkade. It was another lucky yardsale snag. The gold ornament wreath I made a couple yrs ago out of Dollar Store ornaments and a gold wreath from Walmart.

The view as you're coming in.  I guess adding greens to your mirrors makes them more noticeable, because after I put them up, my husband asked me if that mirror had always been there (it's been up for 4.5 yrs).

So there it is, the entryway. Pics of other rooms to come soon, once the computer is fixed and my homeschooled kids are on Christmas break!

  1. very pretty. Wish I had the energy to do all that. We did really well this year, we got the tree and the nativity up. Even got out the Christmas dishes, washed them (machine of course) and I'm using them. Maybe I'll get inspired and energized. If that happens, it'll be on my blog for sure! Course, I don't really have an entryway, open the door and you're walking into the dining table, lol.
