I'm not much of a present wrapper. In fact, I'm usually running around Christmas morning, shoving presents in random bags! This year, I decided I could wrap boxes...(I usually store my ornaments in wrapped boxes), or re-wrap boxes and I could use them again and again for presents, and then store my ornaments in them during the year.
My supplies: an old window treatment that was here when we move in. (never worked or fit the window),
fabric scraps, yarn, a little bit of ribbon and some of the latest duct tape (new awesome colors!!!), and gift tags from Jones Design Company (download them for free).
Window treatment to cover the boxes.
Glitterfying the gift tags.
There are the most awesome colors and patterns of Duct Tape now! Zebra, cheetah print, houndstooth, polka dot. I bought black and metallic gold (I figured I could use those throughout the year).
Here are a few pics of some new duct tapes.
So here are my presents. Like I said before, I'm really not much of a present wrapper, but I thought this might give all of you some fun ideas. The bows are all scrap fabric, and the gift tags really were a great addition.
Here is a good picture of the gold duct tape.
Here's my yarn wrap.
This box I actually wrapped with wrapping paper....hopefully it will hold up through the year, with ornaments stored in it.
I wrapped the tops and bottoms of the boxes separately, so hopefully they will last for a couple years.
Hope this gave you some fun ideas!
