Today's News and a Little About Me.

I have 3 fun things to share with you (well, number 3 include 5 things...so I guess 8 things to share);

3.) I'm going to tell you 5 things about me for 5 Things Thursday at 5 Days 5 Ways.  

So....here's 5 things about me;

1.) I have 5 kids....yup, that right there tells you TONS about me. Luckily, I'm not a type A person, because having 5 kids all day makes you have to let a lot of things "go", or else you'll go crazy! And just to make it even more chaotic, I homeschool them. Now you can see my life is somewhat crazy, and it's ok, because I like it that way.

2.) I really LOVE to decorate! I know that's no surprise, but I have loved it as long as I can remember. I can remember staying up late on weekend nights checker-boarding an entire side wall of my bedroom in ft x ft checkers, painting chairs, searching the GW for art, and pouring over BH&G, in middle school (if not younger).  I renovate houses, and I joke that I do ALL the work (tile, drywall, paint ect...) just to decorate it!...ok, maybe it's not a joke.

3.) We've lived in Eastern WA for the past 5 yrs. Long story short, the kids and I moved here right before my husband was deployed to Iraq for 18mo. Almost 2 yrs of training and deployements, and 2 babies later.....I'm not near where I want to be on this house! My husband is in his last year of seminary, and after that, we'll be moving wherever the Army send us, so if you follow me, you'll notice that I'm really starting to crank out some rooms and pick up the pace and it will have to stay that way until it's time to sell!

4.) I work a little as a registered dietitian. It's really only about 1 day/week, if even that, but it's nice to stay current in my profession. I usually work with parents of overweight or underweight children.

5.) I'm a Christian, and hope that what I do with this blog always honors Jesus. I think it's a fine line with blogging, Jesus and Me, mainly because...the blog is all about ME (and what I do and like)...and sometimes I feel a little weird about that, but somehow, I know Jesus can give me opportunities to honor him with it, and that's something I always want to strive to do.
