I have forever loved potted bulbs used as decor. My first potted bulb introduction, was seeing all the Narcissus at Christmas time, potted on tables at a military Christmas Tour of Homes. I knew right then, that I had to come home and try it!
After coming home and trying out Narcissus, I started to wonder if all bulbs could be planted and bloom indoors. I realized that many could! They always look so beautiful!
Potted bulbs would make a perfect Easter display or Mother's Day gift. These could be blooming when you give them as a gift, or could be waiting to bloom in a beautiful pot, dish or basket. They could even be planted again for the next year!
Potted bulbs are also a great idea if you forgot to plant some this past fall, and are wishing you had something blooming now.
Bulbs can add great interest to a table or mantel. They can be planted in a trendy bowl to or country basket to match any decor style.
They can also be purchased already planted at most grocery stores, garden centers and flower shops.
Planting potted bulbs is also a great project to work on with children! They loved to use their hands to create something and will really enjoy watching it grow! If you homeschool, or just enjoy teaching your children things at home, you could learn the different parts of the plant and the growing stages.
You can learn a lot about potted bulbs by checking out Bulbs On Line. A website dedicated to information and inspiration about potted bulbs.
I don't know about you, but I'm thinking a spring and/or Easter tablescape with potted bulbs would be beautiful, or I might start working on something for a Mother's Day gift.
No matter how you decide to use them, potted bulbs are a easy, inexpensive and beautiful way to add some life and beauty to your home decor!
