Main Bathroom...before

I didn't realize I wouldn't be able to move this post! I probably just don't know how to do it. Everyone will just have to follow the links. To see the finished product go to: http://blah2beautiful.blogspot.com/2010/05/and-after.html

This is the main bathroom. It's a decent sized main bathroom for a house in 1948. This is a Richland Wa. letter house. Built by the government in 1948 for the secret Manhattan project, which become later known as the nuclear bomb. The entire town was constructed in basically 4 yrs. The story is completely amazing! Anyways, we live in one of the original houses. I try to salvage what I can. Here's my hubby cutting out the old subfloor. It was not a fun thing to do. Subfloor....lovely :)
This is the super stinky glue that held the faux marble pink and gray plastic tiles on the tub shower area.
Oh, the lovely gold flicked pink laminate countertop.
More pics of the faux marble. Would have saved the tub hardward, but it was so crusted onto the pipes we had to replace, they were unsalvagable.

Nice lanolium. It really wasn't in bad shape, except for the yucky yellow ring where an older toilet used to be.....can you say, gross! Countertop in demo. You can see the one door left in the light and dark purple.
My hubby flashin' the shaka sign. Which means he's having a splendid time!
This used to be hanging from Ceiling to the 1/2 wall between the toilet area and the vanity. I thought it would be totally cool with vinyl lettering and a frame, but gave it up to a craigslister, since I didn't have the time, or room for it.
See post above for the end results!
