The Breakfast Nook

This is a pic from 3.5 yrs ago. See the back of our breakfast nook. This is when green was the "thing". I wanted something fun and so I covered my breakfast nook with this fabric.

Now I'm ready for a change. (plus the fabric is so old, it needs to be replaced!) I want something simpler, and I think something more neutral would be more appealing for buyers.

So, off went the back pads (which I plan on replacing with beadboard), and boy did I find some GROSS stuff underneath the wood the cushions are attached to! I actually had originally covered them with fabric and clear vinyl, but it had been ripped off by the kiddos a couple months ago!  OK, can not wait this long to recover things when kids spill milk on it every other day! Ewwww!

Another nasty picture! One of those projects that you finally take on and are saying to yourself the entire time, "I cannot believe I let it get this bad!"

New black vinyl getting stapled on. I picked it up at Joanns %50 off.

I usually wrap corners like I would a present.

After scrubbing the wood underneath the cusions VERY well, here it is.....now for the beadboard above and some cute pillows!
