Day 3 of the sewing nook re-do: A little bit of bling.

Lamp re-do:

Before: two of these used to be in my daughter's room. I'm not in love with this style of lamp shade anymore, but it was FREE in my work (junk) room and I figure I can always change it out later. Recovered in some serious PINK! I'm pregnant with a girl and I'm wondering if it's effecting my hormones in a way that is making me really like pink. I've never really liked pink in my life untill the last couple months! Weird.

Added some black trim and created some flowers to go on it.

The finished product :) Needless to say my daughter (who is 7 and has always LOVED pink) LOVES the sewing nook :) Oh yes, you can barely see it, but there is black from 1/2in down from the top also.

Other ways I "fancified":

Turning some metalic silver bed sheets (that I had picked up to make curtians out of) into a hide-all table skirt. Yes: bed sheets, to curtain, to table skirt....these things have had quite a life so far!Yes, its totally over the top, but I had a chandelier sitting in that back work (junk) room, and it had to go up!
